Hey Villagers, let’s talk a little about giving and volunteering. I think that most of us would agree that the world needs more of both, but how often do we act on those beliefs? It’s easy to have good intentions, but it’s also easy to let ourselves get distracted by our own lives. Let’s face it—helping others isn’t always convenient for our schedules, and in some cases helping others requires sacrifice and commitment, and maybe even the willingness to do something that’s a little bit outside of our comfort zone. But when we make ourselves focus on others’ needs instead of our own, when we give of our time, our resources, and our talents, truly amazing things can happen. For evidence of that, look no further than Carson’s Village

I am in awe of the number of hours of hard work that Jason, April and their friends and supporters have expended to make Carson’s Village a reality —all while maintaining households, jobs and other responsibilities. Carson’s Village started with a thought that became a list that became an idea that led to the organization we know today—and I promise you, we’re only just getting started! Our goal is to help anyone who needs our help through the delivery of our mission, but we can’t do it alone—we need YOU to help us continue to grow and flourish.

As we approach the anniversary of the day we lost Carson, I am asking all of you to honor his memory and his family by donating at carsonsvillage.org/donate today. Remember, no gift is too small—and remember, it’s okay to give more than once! ? Your gifts will be used to help Carson’s Village team members provide free support and resources to families who have experienced the devastation of sudden loss—something we want to be able to do for as many families as possible.

In addition to giving, please remember to keep sharing the story of Carson’s Village with your friends and associates – you never know when someone might need us one day—and, stay tuned for information about upcoming volunteer opportunities.

In the meanwhile, thank you for your continued support. Be well, friends—
