Workplace Support

Struggling to return to work after the loss of a loved one? Or do you work with someone who is returning to work while still grieving and you don’t know what to say? Carson’s Village can help. Visit our ‘Workplace Support’ resource page to access return-to-work aids that will help you get back to work and help your colleagues support you along the way.

Orbisculate

When Jonathon Krieger and Hilary Krieger’s father Neil Krieger died from Covid-19 on April 29, 2020, they wanted to find a unique way to honor him. Among the legacy he left was a word he invented: “Orbisculate,” for when a citrus fruit squirts in your eye. Now they are trying to get his word into the dictionary! So they launched a campaign to do just that, including some fun T-shirts, and they were generous enough to have 100% of the T-shirt proceeds benefit Carson’s Village! Follow their journey on Facebook and buy a T-shirt that supports our work at Carson’s Village.

Your Impact

There is something special about a grieving family making a difference in honor of their loved one. That’s just what the Staud family did when their 22-year-old son, a student at TCU, passed away. Collin’s aunt reached out to Carson’s Village to get support. Her daughter had been a classmate of Carson’s (Carson’s Village’s namesake), so the organization was close to her heart. Carson’s Village worked with Collin’s father, providing a referral for cremation services, as well as creating a family donation page. The family raised more than $4,000 to contribute to the TCU School of Music where Collin had been a senior with a full scholarship. The family is currently enrolled in continuing support services so that Carson’s Village can provide resources along their grief journey.
