Slamming For A Cause

New Tech Class of 2023

The Rookie class of 2023 at New Tech High at Coppell (NTH@C) presents the sixth annual Slamming for a Cause night on December 10, 2019 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. During the event, select Rookies (NTH@C freshmen) will perform their original slam poems. Tickets are $5. There also will be a bake sale, t-shirt sales, learner designed greeting cards, and a silent auction. Proceeds go to Carson’s Village, a local non-profit organization aiding families who have experienced the sudden loss of a loved one. This cause is near and dear to the New Tech Rookies as many were friends with Carson Dyke, for whom Carson’s Village was founded. Learners are inspired and motivated to have his legacy continue.

Last year, more than 100 attended the event and raised $10,359 for their partnering organization. This year, the Class of 2023 has a goal of $11,000 to Carson’s Village. The NTH@C Class of 2023 hopes you can help meet their goal.
