Barbara Axelsen, of Lakewood, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2023. 

Barbara loved spending time and laughing with her senior friends; they always had some fun senior type stories that only seniors would find funny. She enjoyed watching Seahawks and Husky Football, attending Senior Bingo and going to the casino.

Barbara was known to others as giving, independent, and trustworthy. She will be most remembered for being an amazing grandmother who cared so much for others and would give the last bit of anything she had. Barbara was always making sure her family was taken care of. She was the guidance that kept her loved ones on the straight and narrow, the family’s rock, sole provider, and an amazing cook. 

Barabara was loving, caring, loyal and provided unconditional love and an endless willingness to listen. She gave her family the world, as any mother should. As a grandma she showed her grandchildren what a mother should look like and her legacy will live on. 
 

The family is grateful for the support they have received and appreciative of any donations given to help lay Barbara to rest peacefully.
