We adored her in life, let us not forget her after death.

I am the Rose of Sharon,
and the Lily of the valleys.

As the lily among the thorns,
So is my love among the daughters.

As the apple tree among the trees of the wood,
So is my beloved among the sons.

I sat down under his shadow with great delight,
And his fruit was so sweet to my taste.

He brought me to the banqueting house,
and his banner over me was Love

Nancy Jean Haverstock McKinley joined our Heavenly Father on April 2, 2022. She was born on July 20, 1956 to John Daniel Haverstock, Jr. and Jean DeFord Haverstock. Nancy was a 1974 graduate of W.T. White High School in Dallas. She went on to attend both Texas Tech University and Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

Nancy raised her two boys, Donald and Kyle, along with Dan’s stepson Brian in Coppell, where she was active in the PTO at various schools and served many years on the Coppell Baseball Association, including the role as President. She spent several years traveling abroad and serving on international committees while working for the International Airline Passenger Association (IAPA). She later joined the team at Southwest Airlines where she spent many years luving and being luved by all who knew her and worked alongside her. While at Southwest she was a recipient of the prestigious “President’s Award”. Nancy was also a long-time member of the P.E.O. organization, Chapter S of Dallas.

Nancy will be remembered as a passionate and intelligent mentor, coach, colleague and friend who had the ability to lead with strong-will, kindness, genuine compassion, a bright smile and contagious laugh. Of the many roles she held throughout her life, she was proudest to be called Mom and Gramma. Her love for her family ran deep and she will be forever treasured as a loving mother, sister, daughter, wife, aunt, and grandmother.

She is survived by her children Donald Wolf III (Teresa) and their children Owen, Grady and Everly, Kyle McKinley (Erin), Life Partner Dan Sexton, mother Jean Haverstock, sister Joan Robinson (Butch), brother John Haverstock III (Karan), and niece and nephews Brooke, Eliot and Mark Robinson and their children.

She was preceded in death by her father John Daniel Haverstock, Jr. Dan’s stepson Brian and grandson Jack Evans McKinley who we know ran into her arms the moment she arrived in Heaven.

Nancy and I were on the PTO together at Pinkerton Elementary School 30+ years ago! Her heart was huge, her smile endearing and her graciousness infectious! Even though we hadn’t been in touch recently, I can still hear her laugh and see her smile! I was blessed to have know her!
