Mental Health Program Coordinator/Advocate – Job Description

MAKE AN IMPACT! Join Carson’s Village as our Mental Health Program Coordinator and Advocate. The Mental Health Program Coordinator manages Carson’s Village’s support programs.  This position helps ensure that support needs and programming are in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Carson’s Village.  Our Advocates help families navigate the complicated decisions they face after the loss of a loved one.  We are there to aid them in making sound financial and family decisions during one of the most stressful times of their life, as well as provide them resources for up to two years after the funeral.  Along with providing assistance with identifying a funeral home and methods to pay for it and connecting families to resources, we also are there to provide emotional support. The ideal candidate is empathetic and well-organized with the ability to work independently to support grieving families through the various programs that Carson’s Village offers.  We are hiring a Master of Social Work (or equivalent) for this position so that they can use their skills to identify if any mental health issues need to be addressed before they are able manifest into something bigger down the road.  To apply for this position, please send your resume to melissas@carsonsvillage.org.
