Carson’s Village has been chosen to join the 2020 cohort of Social Innovation Accelerator Fellows through United Way of Metropolitan Dallas!
Carson’s Village, along with nine other nonprofits, has been chosen from a pool of 53 applicants to be part of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ Social Innovation Accelerator. The Accelerator provides financial, social and human capital to entrepreneurs who are tackling the challenges facing North Texas. Their goal is to accelerate the growth and stability of these innovative ventures. Carson’s Village is honored to be a part of this year-long cohort. The organization will benefit from a significant financial investment, the opportunity to align with the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas brand and will partner with experienced mentors who can help us solve some of our business challenges as we grow and mature. The work has already begun with classes beginning this month. Jason and Board Member Jennifer Bartkowski will be engaging with mentors in June and look forward to working with United Way and team to take Carson’s Village to the next level.
We are excited to begin working with Valerie Sanchez, the current Director of Bereavement And Integrated Therapies at Faith Presbyterian Hospice. She will be helping Carson’s Village develop and grow the ways in which we help our families.
This month, Jason had the opportunity to train Texas 2-1-1. They are our top referral agency and have referred 26 families to us. We are thankful for their partnership with us.
