JULY SPOTLIGHT
We supported our first Spanish-speaking family. Thanks to our wonderful Advocate, Christie, we were able to set up a family page in both Spanish and English to help the family raise money to cover the funeral costs and to communicate the events of the week to their family and friends.
NEW THIS MONTH
Carson’s Village had its first training led by someone outside of the Dyke family. Kirk Smart led a training at Medical City Denton and is the first person other than April or Jason to train a group for Carson’s Village.
“There’s been so many times after a death that I felt helpless as a nurse as fas as guiding families. Everything we could offer always seemed like it was lacking, and it wasn’t enough. Carson’s Village fills that void.” ~Kirk Smart
Welcome to our first employee, Gabrielle Love, who will be serving as the Coordinator for Carson’s Village. She recently graduated from John Brown University with a degree in Family and Human Services and will be pursuing her Masters in Social Work at UT Arlington in the Fall.
